“Together We Can Do So Much”
A Warsaw Orphanage Mural Project
Laura Evonne Steinman, Community Artist and Olga Chwascinska, Translator/Assistant Artist
worked with children at Dom Dziecka #4 (an orphanage) in Warsaw, Poland.
They assisted the children in creating a huge mural of painted people.
The children traced each other’s figures on the wall and then painted them in colors which expressed
how they feel. Then, they painted a star, heart, house, etc. inside their figures filled with
designs that reflected their emotions.
