Dear friends,
Mercury in retrograde has surely come in full force this year.
The world has been turned upside-down and inside-out.
What does that mean for our daily lives? How are we effected?
What do WE do to stop and listen to the sweet Earth that surround us during these difficult times? It is important that we reflect and also act on what brings us peace and happiness, small or large - we must bring bits of sweetness into our daily ritual.

In this course, we will play with techniques using patterns, colors, and materials as a springboard to create abstract and pictorial scenes that we may then turn into wall hangings, pillowcases, table-runners, and more. You'll be coached in design, composition, application, and assemblage while working with special fabrics, text, images, lace, ribbon, and other fun items. We'll do a mix of hand sewing and machine sewing. No prior experience sewing or drawing is necessary, just bring your great imagination. Limited to 12.

Polish Papercutting Workshop
Learn the delicate and colorful art of traditional Polish paper cutting, from an instructor who has learned the techniques of this art from women in small Polish villages. Come make some of the detailed, colorful stars, known as "gwiazdy," and other beautiful designs. Bring a pair of scissors. Paper and glue will be provided. A $5 materials fee is payable to the instructor in the first session. Limited to 12.

presents artworks created
by female artists from around the world. The project aims to emphasize the importance of arts in empowering and bringing women together, and creating awareness on vital issues related to girls and women. The artworks are only 4 x 6 inch in size and donated by over eighty artists. The sales proceeds will raise funds for shelters supporting homeless women and women who are
victims of abuse.
